In addition, it is advisable to inform yourself in advance about the signs of miscarriage. These include, for example, spotting, low back pain, fever or premature labor. In these cases, please consult your doctor immediately.

To minimize miscarriage risk factors, your doctor can give you valuable tips. In some cases, for example, it is important for the pregnant woman to maintain a strict bed rest. Depending on the diagnosis, this can be done in your own home or in the hospital. But even with medication, a threatened miscarriage may even be averted.

Normal pregnancy: Watch out for a healthy lifestyle
We have no influence on many factors that cause a miscarriage. Nevertheless, as a pregnant woman, you can do a lot to make sure your unborn child is well. First and foremost is a healthy, balanced diet. During pregnancy you should definitely abstain from alcohol, cigarettes and of course drugs.

You should also take painkillers and other medicines only after consultation with your doctor. Often, for smaller aches and pains, such as nausea, heartburn,  or headaches,  alternative remedies such as homeopathy, acupuncture, or Schuessler salts.

Especially important: Be sure to use the preventive appointments with your doctor. He regularly checks the ultrasound to see if your unborn baby is well and keeps track of the results in your passport. In case of abnormalities, you will be referred immediately to a specialist. If you feel unwell, have abdominal pain or bleeding, drive to a hospital immediately.
